Nuclear Medicine, part of a modern hospital's imaging capabilities, uses radioactive materials to diagnose and treat a variety of diseases. Currently we perform a range of tests, including mapping the heart, renal and endocribe systems, brain, digestive tract and bones. Such tests can identify diseases in their earliest stages, often before symptoms occur.
It is imperative that we stay ahead of this rapidly changing field requiring the immediate purchase of equipment, specialized staffing and establishing a new division, dramatically expanding the department. This will bring staff, equipment, research and our patients under one roof making us more efficient and effective.
The department affiliated with the Rappaport School of Medicine at the Technion, is actively engaged in unique research.
We are the only team developing ways to measure the absorption of marked medicine in the lungs saving lives in Israel and around the world.
